Sheena Thompson is the Lead Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist at Gulfcoast North Area Health Education Center. She holds a Florida Certification and a National Certificate in Tobacco Treatment Practice (NCTTP)

Sheena has her AS degree in Counseling – specialization in Abnormal Behaviors from UNISA. As counselor for LifeLine for over 20 years and served on their Board holding the Training Portfolio and Vice Chair for the organization. She’s a certified assessor with SETA, which sets specific standards for training providers. Sheena owned her own soft skills company and provided training in the corporate and private sector. With over 35 years counseling experience she finds working with clients living with mental health and substance use disorder exceptionally rewarding. As a Certified Laughter Leader, she provides interactive and professional workshops to those looking for wellness through laughter. 

As former smoker she has a keen understanding of the challenges experienced by tobacco users in addition to understanding the journey of change. Sheena endeavors to inspire and motivate others to make a significant change in their tobacco and nicotine use.
