Larissa Garofola, MS, CHES, CTTS
Larissa began her career with Gulfcoast North Area Health Education Center (GNAHEC) in 2021. She started her role as the AHEC Scholars Regional Manager, Marketing & Training Specialist in March 2022. In her role, she manages the Florida AHEC Scholars Program, coordinates continuing education trainings for healthcare professionals, and works with local high school students who are interested in pursuing healthcare.
Larissa holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and previously worked in Human Resources. She eventually decided to make a career change and go back to school to pursue a career in which she could make a positive impact on society. She graduated from the University of Florida in 2021 with a master’s degree in Health Education and Behavior. Larissa is passionate about providing the education and tools that will assist individuals in making healthier decisions that fit with their lifestyle and wellness goals.
Larissa is a transplant from Western New York and is enjoying getting to know her new home in the Tampa area. She does not miss the snow one bit. In her spare time, she loves to read, go to the beach, hang out with her two cats, and spend time with friends and family.
