Kayla Wilson MPH, CPH
Kayla Wilson is a Tobacco Treatment Specialist at Gulfcoast North Area Health Education Center, where she facilitates evidence-based tobacco cessation services and works with healthcare providers, community organizations, and the public to promote tobacco-free living. She is passionate about advancing health equity and helping individuals make meaningful, lasting health changes.
Kayla holds a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from the University of Florida and a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Epidemiology from the University of South Florida. She previously served as a Public Health Associate with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and as the Lead Poisoning Prevention Program Coordinator with the Polk County Florida Department of Health, where she led efforts to reduce childhood lead exposure and educate families and providers on prevention strategies.
With a background in maternal and child health, health education, and community engagement, Kayla brings a well-rounded and people-centered public health perspective to her work. Outside of her professional role, she enjoys writing, playing video games, walking her dog, and spending time with loved ones.
