Demi Gilbert, BS

Originally from St. Vincent and the Grenadines, I moved to the United Stated over a decade ago to pursue higher education and advance my career in healthcare. I am a dedicated healthcare professional with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Public Health, bringing hands-on experience in both clinical and public health settings. Currently, I serve as a Tobacco Treatment Specialist with Gulfcoast North AHEC in Florida, where I oversee tobacco cessation initiatives in Pinellas County. Prior to this role, I worked as a Certified Medical Assistant, collaborating closely with physicians to provide patient-centered care. My transition into public health reflects my passion for preventive care and community wellness. In addition to my current role, I have also worked with another AHEC organization in a different state, expanding my experience in health education, outreach, and tobacco prevention efforts. My work is driven by a commitment to improving health outcomes through evidence-based strategies, patient education, and compassionate support.
